Time to get some cash for your clutter!
According to a recent Nielsen survey, the average home has $3,100 worth of unused items they can sell for cash! To help you clear out your clutter and put some money in your pocket, GICU has launched the SwapSpot, exclusive to our members. This is an online forum where you can post and sell your items, such as sporting goods, household items and outdoor equipment. You can also post about upcoming garage sales, wanted items or lost pets.
How does it work?
Go to www.gicu.org. Anyone can browse listings on the site, however only GICU members can post to the site. Listings are free and are live for 30 days. This is another benefit of being a GICU member!
User Account Setup
Click on the Login tab on the blue menu (left of screen) and scroll down to the Account Setup button.
You will need:
• your member number
• your first & last name as it appears on your membership card
Chose how people contact you; if it’s through email, phone or both. If you need assistance, there are several instructional videos on the website to show users how to create an account, post an item and update info. This free service will be live on July 11 at www.gicu.org.
